Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Butch Copeland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Contreras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Copeland shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Copeland shoots in looking for a takedown. Contreras tries to sprawl out of it but Copeland keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Contreras manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Copeland changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Contreras tries to avoid it but Copeland manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Contreras to the ground. Contreras escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Contreras pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Copeland back to the cage. Contreras follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Horrible takedown by Copeland or perhaps it was just good defense by Contreras which made him look bad.

A very excited looking Alejandro Contreras rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
