Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pi Ling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klyde Bashor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Klyde Bashor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pi Ling! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Klyde Bashor! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bashor feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lings jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ling is defended easily by Bashor. Bashor lands with an uppercut that bounces Ling off the cage and back into range. Ling wants to clinch up but Bashor keeps it at a distance. A cross from Bashor lands. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bashor steps into range and cracks Ling with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Ling flops backwards and Bashor dives into his guard looking to finish!
Ling is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Bashor controls from within his opponent's guard. Oh Ling is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ling is on top in guard.
Ling throws a big elbow that misses. Ling seems to have got his legs back now. Bashor is controlling Ling's posture. Ling is looking to work some ground and pound but Bashor has wrist control. Bashor avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bashor seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ling accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ling throwing strikes but missing. Bashor is pulling down on Ling's head to control his posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Klyde Bashor was stalling too much, according to the referee. Ling moves in looking to clinch but Bashor pushes him off. Pi Ling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bashor steps into range and cracks Ling with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Ling flops backwards and Bashor dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Pi Ling has been cut. Ling definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bashor trying to control the position from guard on top but Ling is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bashor lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ling keeping moving, preventing Bashor from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bashor passes easily into side control. Nice work. Bashor misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Bashor tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Ling is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ling is being controlled here. Bashor lands an elbow. Bashor tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ling is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bashor has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ling wants to control but Bashor postures up. Ling knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bashor on the ground. Bashor misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Bashor trying to control the action but Ling is working from the bottom. Bashor throws a strike aimed at the side of Ling's head but Ling avoids it well. Bashor in side control, throwing shots but Ling defends. Ling manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ling is looking to improve his position.
Bashor frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bashor scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Bashor wants to control the pace but Ling is squirming around nicely. Bashor looking to finish Ling with some ground and pound. This is bad for Ling!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ling can't escape the position.
Bashor has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Bashor looking to finish with strikes here!
Ling wants to control but Bashor is having none of it. BOOM! Bashor connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Bashor throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Ling blocking the ground and pound. Ling really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Ling tries to improve his position but instead Bashor has taken his back! Bashor has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Ling! Can he survive? No! He's out! Bashor gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Klyde Bashor! After winning the bout, Klyde Bashor thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
