The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peixoto shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rodriguez defends it nicely.
Rodriguez lands a head shot.
Rodriguez moves into the clinch.

Peixoto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rodriguez defends well.

Rodriguez is looking to stand up but Peixoto won't let him.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rodriguez creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rodriguez pushes Peixoto against the cage. Rodriguez is working some dirty boxing. Rodriguez pushes off with a quick right hook! Peixoto goes down! Peixoto tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Rodriguez moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
