The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Linequer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Linequer checks the leg kick.
Linequer has closed the distance and engaged Silva in a clinch.
Silva is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Linequer gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Silva wants to get back to striking at distance but Linequer won't allow it.
Linequer tries to land a knee to the head but Silva blocks with his arms.
Linequer has Silva pressed against the cage, preventing Silva from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Linequer throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Silva misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Linequer.
A right hook to the body lands for Linequer.
Linequer misses with a knee strike.
A frustrated look appears on Linequer's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Linequer stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Linequer lands a body punch.
Linequer lands with a short shot to the head.
Silva looks winded!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Linequer is trying to break the clinch but Silva is controlling him.

Linequer drops down looking for an ankle pick but Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.
Silva throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Linequer moves into the clinch.
Silva is trying to push Linequer away but Linequer has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Linequer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Linequer batters Silva with a massive right followed by a huge left! Silva is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Linequer lands a final crushing right hand to drop Silva to the mat with a gruesome thud! Linequer is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Joao Linequer!
