Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lon Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isamu Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Isamu Sato has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lon Wells's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lon Wells! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Isamu Sato! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sato moves into the clinch successfully.
Sato jumps into guard, dragging Wells to the mat.
Wells trying to control the position from guard on top but Sato is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sato controls Wells momentarily but Wells frees himself. Wells pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sato is keeping the position for now.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Isamu Sato hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A head kick misses from Sato. Lon Wells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. Wells tries for a takedown. No joy.
Wells jumps guard but Sato stands there with Wells around his waist. Wells gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sato wants a takedown but no success here.
Wells breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sato tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sato throws a hook to the side of Wells's head but Wells sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sato tries to clinch up. Sato has a takedown stuffed. Sato uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wells.
Sato fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lon Wells has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isamu Sato.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wells throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sato displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Sato looks to clinch and Wells counters with a straight right hand. Wells misses with a wild combination.
Sato has a takedown stuffed. Wells circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wells is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sato's half guard. Wells will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wells slips a nice elbow through Sato's hands, connecting with Sato's forehead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wells wants to advance to full mount but Sato doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Sato preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Wells trying to control but Sato is working from the bottom. Sato is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wells defends well. Sato looks winded! Sato wants to stand up but Wells is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wells trying to control the position from guard on top but Sato is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wells passes into half guard. Sato trying to control from the bottom.
Wells really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sato is trying to control but Wells passes into side control!
Sato prevents Wells from improving position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lon Wells will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Sato shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wells moves into the clinch. Sato looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Sato pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wells moves out of range as Sato strikes. Wells looks to land a combination but Sato avoids it well. Sato tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Wells counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Sato thumps Wells with a low kick. Wells pushes Sato up against the cage in a clinch. Wells tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sato just stands there and leans against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Wells as Sato tries to tie him up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sato fails to pull guard.
Sato is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Wells stalls. Wells gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sato.
Lon Wells has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isamu Sato. Sato working hard to break the clinch. Sato manages to break the clinch.
Sato tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Wells counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Sato is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wells is nestled in close to Sato, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Wells keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Sato is trying to maintain the position but Wells is very close to passing his half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Wells trying to control the pace. Wells escapes and gets back to his feet. Wells misses with a double jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wells avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sato tries to clinch but Wells is having none of it. Sato is looking to clinch. Sato tries to clinch up but Wells circles away and keeps his distance. Sato tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wells swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sato misses with a low kick.
Sato fails in his attempt to clinch. Wells fails with a takedown attempt. Sato misses with a takedown attempt - Wells sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Sato throws a head kick that half lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sato shoots for a takedown but Wells saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lon Wells is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wells shoots in looking for a takedown but Sato manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wells's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wells throws a leg kick that is checked and Sato counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wells's knee momentarily. Wells closes the distance and clinches. Wells can't get the takedown.
Sato's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wells looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sato tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wells swats him away and circles back towards the center. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wells avoids the head kick by Sato.
Wells fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sato, pushing him back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sato blocks the elbow strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lon Wells dominated that second round. That's time! Wells's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Wells dives in and grabs Sato's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sato pushes down on Wells's head and hops out. Some wild striking there from Sato.
Wells closes the distance and clinches. Sato tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wells smiles and moves away.
Wells gets tackled into the cage by Sato. Sato maintains the clinch. Sato throws a knee to the head but misses.
Wells pushes off an throws an elbow but Sato leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Sato landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Sato is struggling to control the position. Sato blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sato is trying to maintain a safe position but Wells gets an underhook and turns Sato into the cage. Wells tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sato smiles and moves away.
Sato lunges at Wells with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wells's hand. Sato misses with a two punch combination.
Sato takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sato tries to keep at a distance but Wells has taken the fight into the clinch. Wells jumps guard but Sato turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lon Wells. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sato throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wells blocks it with crossed arms. Wells avoids the elbow strike from Sato, against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sato wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Wells has picked Sato up - he's going for a ride! Wells dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Wells is looking for a kimura but Sato is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wells to get the leverage. Sato is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wells looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Sato is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wells's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wells's back! Wells looking very determined here, making life difficult for Sato.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wells just trying to survive but Sato is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wells is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Wells wants to get back to his feet. Sato avoiding Wells 's attempts to control his hands. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wells looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Sato tries to keep control of the position but Wells is staying busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sato controlling from the back. Wells rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Sato tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Sato is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lon Wells. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wells, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
