Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
li doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
li scores with a takedown into Penn's guard.
li trying to control the position from guard on top but Penn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Penn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Casey Penn hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A combination from li does no damage.
li drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Penn manages to work his way to half guard, despite li's best efforts.
Penn gets full guard.
Penn wants to sweep but no luck.
li controlling from the top position.
li has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Penn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Penn wants to clinch up but li keeps it at a distance.
li drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
li is breathing heavily.

li is fighting to break Penn's control of his arms but Penn is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Penn is on top in guard.

Penn stands and throws li's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Penn has worked his way into a potential kimura here. li is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Penn yanks on the arm and li is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Penn.
