Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erkki Esinahka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kyosti Persposki! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Esinahka looks for a takedown but Persposki sprawls well. Persposki fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Esinahka sprawls well initially but Persposki persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Esinahka looking for submissions off his back. Persposki wants to pass the guard but Esinahka is defending well. Persposki is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Esinahka has managed to free his arm - good work. Esinahka makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Esinahka. Esinahka is looking for a triangle but Persposki pushes his legs off easily.

Persposki is pressing down on Esinahka's thigh, looking to free his foot. Esinahka is holding on for now. Esinahka wants to improve his position but Persposki is controlling well.
Persposki frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Persposki has hold of Esinahka's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Esinahka manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Esinahka tries to escape but Persposki has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Esinahka is working hard here to advance position. Esinahka is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Persposki.

Persposki is looking to control Esinahka but Esinahka is wriggling around and keeping busy. Esinahka breaks Persposki's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Esinahka manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Esinahka thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Esinahka drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Persposki manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Esinahka has Persposki in his guard.

Esinahka Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Persposki's back instead. Esinahka doesn't have the hooks in and Persposki manages to turn into his guard.
Esinahka is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Esinahka has his foot on Persposki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Persposki works his way back into a safe position though. Persposki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Esinahka gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Persposki counters with a single leg into guard. Esinahka didn't expect that.

Esinahka gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Esinahka passes Persposki's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Esinahka is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Esinahka is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Persposki still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Persposki has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Esinahka regains half guard.
