The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fane thuds his right hand into Sikhouasvili's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Sikhouasvili tries to bum rush Fane with a series of wild strikes but Fane uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sikhouasvili. Fane does a little dance to reset his feet.

Sikhouasvili swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sikhouasvili is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sikhouasvili has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sikhouasvili there as he acknowledges the shot.
Fane misses with a series of wild punches.

Fane looks to throw the jab but Sikhouasvili is out of range.
Sikhouasvili missing with a left hand there. Fane was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Fane bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Sikhouasvili cracks Fane with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Sikhouasvili has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Fane to stand back up!

Fane is rocked!

It looks like Mathayus Fane has been cut.

Fane lunges at Sikhouasvili with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sikhouasvili's hand.
Sikhouasvili closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Fane out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

A relieved looking Tigran Sikhouasvili thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
