The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riberio takes one on the button.
Sengoku scores with a jab. Riberio acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
It looks like Saulo Riberio has been cut.
Sengoku gets caught napping as Riberio dives in and scores a takedown. Sengoku manages to retain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Riberio is pushing down on Sengoku's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sengoku is fighting to maintain full guard but Riberio has managed to sneak the leg through.
Sengoku pushes Riberio off looking to stand but Riberio dives back in and keeps control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sengoku is defending against the submission attempts here by Riberio.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sengoku can do anything to dispel that myth.
Riberio seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Sengoku is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Saulo Riberio decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
