Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kristan Maruyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zero Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Kristan Maruyama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zero Hero! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hero throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Maruyama tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Maruyama tries to clinch up. Hero has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Maruyama wants to clinch letting Hero counter with a right hand. A good leg kick by Hero. Maruyama jabbing away but nothing is landing. That kick from Hero tenderised Maruyama's leg. Maruyama is trying to keep his angry face on. Maruyama takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Hero circles away from the clinch attempt and Hero counters with a lovely straight right hand! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Maruyama steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hero. Maruyama darts in trying to clinch and Hero counters with a right hand to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maruyama looks to clinch enabling Hero to counter with a crisp jab. Hero lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Maruyama at a distance.
Maruyama jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hero takes a swing at Maruyama's ribcage but misses. Hero comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Hero fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Maruyama looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Hero jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
We've been told by Maruyama's head coaches at London MMA Fight Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hero scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Maruyama doesn't seem bothered though. Maruyama moves out of range of the leg kick from Hero. Maruyama wants to clinch up but Hero keeps it at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hero lands a right hook to the body.

Hero pulls guard successfully.
Maruyama pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hero is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maruyama wants to control from the top but Hero keeps moving. Maruyama stops Hero from standing up. Hero is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Maruyama throws a big elbow that misses. Maruyama stops Hero from standing up. Maruyama trying to control but Hero is working from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Maruyama wants to clinch and Hero counters with a series of strikes. Maruyama will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maruyama tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hero cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hero scores with a takedown into Maruyama's guard. Hero avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hero looking to pass the guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hero trying to control the position from guard on top but Maruyama is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Hero really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maruyama. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Maruyama is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hero is sitting in close to Maruyama's body. Maruyama has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hero is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hero is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Maruyama.
