Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Junji Kodama!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kodama avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Doe checks a leg kick nicely.
Doe tries to close the distance and clinch but Kodama swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Doe clinches with his opponent.
Doe lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like Junji Kodama has been cut.
Kodama is trying to break the clinch but Doe has him pressed against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Doe just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kodama's brow.
Doe lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Kodama tries for a takedown but Doe manages to get underhooks.
Kodama's coach down at Basics -LOD- was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kodama's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kodama jumps guard but Doe stands there with Kodama around his waist. Kodama gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kodama is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Doe pulls him back up using the underhooks.
John Doe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Junji Kodama.
Kodama has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Doe avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kodama is trying to maintain a safe position but Doe gets an underhook and turns Kodama into the cage.
Doe lands an elbow just above Kodama 's eye.


That has opened up Junji Kodama's cut even more.
Doe misses with an elbow over the top.
Doe lands an elbow just above Kodama 's eye.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Junji Kodama's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Junji Kodama's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). John Doe!
John Doe was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
