Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rorthrar Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Johanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rorthrar Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rorthrar Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Johanson!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Johanson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gracie manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Johanson throws a big right hand that misses.
Johanson wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his posture from full guard.

Gracie has his hands on Johanson's head, controlling the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Johanson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Johanson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Johanson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Johanson defends it well.

Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johanson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

That was a close round but I would say that Rorthrar Gracie will probably get the nod.
