Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mendy Ripstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raye Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mendy Ripstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raye Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Winston Howard and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripstein stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Johnson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ripstein avoids it really well and circles away.

We've been hearing reports that Ripstein has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Johnson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ripstein after a bit of a struggle.

Ripstein's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Ripstein leaves Johnson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Good leg kick by Johnson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ripstein lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johnson circles away quickly and effectively.
Ripstein darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ripstein crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Johnson - the referee stops the clock and Ripstein gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Johnson. Ripstein manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ripstein, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
