The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Widen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Goodman. Goodman circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Widen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Goodman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Goodman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Widen connects with a crisp jab.

Widen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Goodman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Goodman has his foot on Widen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Widen works his way back into a safe position though.

Widen decides to stand back up. Widen steps back and let's Goodman get back to his feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Widen. Goodman does a little dance to reset his feet.
Widen lands a lovely overhand right.
Widen closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Goodman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Widen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Widen is trying to break the clinch but Goodman has him pressed against the cage.

Widen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Alexander Widen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Goodman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Widen lands a nice shot to the body.
Widen fails to land with a series of punches.

Goodman is rocked!
Goodman drops his hands for a split second and Widen immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Goodman face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Widen follows up with a right hand that knocks Goodman into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
