Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evan Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Florijan Jagatic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Florijan Jagatic told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Perry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Florijan Jagatic! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left and a right from Perry both land. Nice combination. Jagatic looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Jagatic avoids the head kick by Perry.
Perry closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Perry lands in his opponent's guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Perry trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jagatic wants to stand up but Perry is controlling him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Perry controlling from the top position. Perry stands up from Jagatic's guard - Perry perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perry instigates a clinch. Jagatic is trying to push Perry away but Perry has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Perry wants to get back to striking at distance but Jagatic won't allow it.

Perry seems keen to control Jagatic's posture. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Evan Perry just wasn't active enough. Perry looks to land a body kick but Jagatic moved away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jagatic throws a left and a right that both miss
and Perry counters with a left and a right that stings Jagatic. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Perry drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Perry happy to just control the position for now. Perry decides to take the fight back to the feet. Perry darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Perry thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perry works his way into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perry slows the pace down. Perry decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jagatic to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perry has taken the fight to the clinch.
Perry turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Perry postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Perry taking a breather here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Perry bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jagatic is letting Perry control him for a moment. Jagatic defending against the ground and pound. Jagatic felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Perry is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Jagatic is breathing heavily.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Evan Perry wasn't doing enough on the ground. Jagatic misses with a few strikes there.
Perry moves into the clinch successfully.

It looks like Florijan Jagatic has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Perry closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jagatic to the mat! Jagatic manages to get full guard. Perry looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Perry decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Perry fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jagatic, pushing him back against the cage. Perry is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jagatic can do to turn this around? Jagatic on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Jagatic is trying to drag Perry to the mat but Perry just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Perry escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Perry looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jagatic! A lull in the action here as Perry stalls from top position. Perry working the ground and pound but Jagatic is defending the strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perry decides to stand back up. Evan Perry is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Perry gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. A short body shot lands from Perry as the two fighters clinch.
Perry prevents the takedown attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Perry is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jagatic can't fight it off and eventually Perry manages to take the fight to the floor. Jagatic looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Perry forces his way into half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Perry is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Evan Perry dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Florijan Jagatic's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Jagatic gets caught napping as Perry dives in and scores a takedown. Jagatic manages to retain guard. Perry stays in close to Jagatic's body and controls the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Perry advances position into side control! Jagatic takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Perry happy to just control the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perry working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Perry staying calm. An elbow from Perry crashes against the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. You can see the frustration on Jagatic's face as Perry controls the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Evan Perry just wasn't active enough. Perry dives in and scores a takedown into Jagatic's guard. Perry has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Perry not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Jagatic manages to get full guard. Perry is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Perry forces his way into half guard. Perry not doing much here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Perry thows a huge punch but Jagatic dodges it nicely.
Perry stands up out of the half guard. Perry is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jagatic's half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Perry moves nicely into side control. Florijan Jagatic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Evan Perry is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Perry is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jagatic's shoulder. That is not cool.
And that's the end of the fight! Evan Perry showed his dominance in that final round. Well Perry has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
