Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sawamura Kojo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Satoru Kitaoka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kojo comes to the ring accompanied by The Whistler. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Satoru Kitaoka! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.

Kojo moves into the clinch. Kitaoka looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Kojo stalling in the clinch.
Kojo scores with a nice hook to the head. Kitaoka tries to circle away but Kojo has him pinned against the ropes. Kitaoka tries to pull guard but Kojo forces him back to his feet, against the ropes. Kojo scores with a shot to the side of Kitaoka's head. Kojo lands a shoulder strike. Kojo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kojo leaning his opponent against the ropes. Kojo is working Kitaoka over against the ropes. Kojo lands a knee to the head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kitaoka has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

It looks like Satoru Kitaoka has been cut. Kitaoka is trying to push Kojo away but Kojo has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Stalling in the clinch from Kojo.
Kojo seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Kitaoka working hard to break the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Kojo. Kitaoka working hard to break the clinch.

Kojo lands an uppercut. A frustrated look appears on Kitaoka's face as he tries to break the clinch. The referee calls for Kojo to work.

Kitaoka is still on wobbly legs! Can Kojo finish him? Kojo scores with a shot to the side of Kitaoka's head. A body shot lands from Kojo.
Kojo is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Kojo has Kitaoka pressed against the ropes, preventing Kitaoka from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Kojo controlling the position using the Thai clinch, unloads with a massive knee! Boom! He's out cold and slumps to the floor against the ropes! I can't wait to see the slow motion replay of that one!
