Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boniface Boccasio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Belle Kelo!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boccasio tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kelo defends well and Boccasio ends up having to push Kelo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kelo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Boccasio has him pressed against the cage.
Kelo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Boccasio fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Boccasio darts in looking for a takedown but Kelo gets double underhooks and turns Boccasio into the cage.
Kelo tries to pull guard but Boccasio holds him up against the cage and eventually Kelo drops back down to his feet.
Kelo jumps guard but Boccasio stands there with Kelo around his waist. Kelo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Boniface Boccasio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Belle Kelo.

Boccasio shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kelo defends it nicely.
Boccasio throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kelo's waist but Kelo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boccasio off to one side.

Boccasio shoots in and drives through. Kelo sprawls well.

Kelo shoots in looking for a takedown but Boccasio manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kelo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Kelo has his foot on Boccasio's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boccasio works his way back into a safe position though.

Kelo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boccasio can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Boccasio is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Boccasio drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kelo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kelo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kelo!

Kelo is looking to advance position but Boccasio won't allow it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kelo is trying to control the action in half guard but Boccasio is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kelo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's time! Boccasio's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Kelo has closed the distance and engaged Boccasio in a clinch.

Kelo gets control of Boccasio's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kelo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boccasio accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Boccasio has gone for a leg lock! Kelo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Boccasio's guard.
Kelo postures up in Boccasio's guard and throws a big left but Boccasio blocks it.

Boccasio has his foot on Kelo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kelo works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Boccasio working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kelo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kelo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kelo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boccasio has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kelo has managed to get both his arms back between Boccasio's legs - danger averted.

Boccasio closes the distance and clinches up with Kelo, looking for a takedown. Boccasio pushes Kelo against the cage but Kelo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Boccasio throws an elbow that misses. Kelo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Boccasio's guard. Nice move by Kelo!

Boccasio isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kelo stacks Boccasio on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kelo!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Boniface Boccasio.
Well Kelo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
