1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronaldo Santos! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos shoots and misses and Rocha counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Santos's guard now. Santos looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Rocha engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos looking to control.
Rocha tries to free his leg and advance position but Santos is retaining full guard.
Eduardo Rocha has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Rocha closes the distance and pushes Santos back into the cage. Rocha managing to block the knees to the body from Santos.

Santos with a lazy takedown attempt and Rocha counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Rocha is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

We're going to have a standup here because Eduardo Rocha wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Rocha drives through with a takedown into Santos's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Santos wants to control the position but Rocha says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Rocha looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. We've been informed that Santos has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Rocha is pressing down on Santos's thigh, looking to free his foot. Santos is holding on for now. Rocha controlling the action here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rocha controls the pace of the fight for a moment. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rocha scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Rocha wants to stand but Santos is controlling his arm. Rocha working away. Rocha is staying tight to Santos's torso, preventing him from escaping. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rocha closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Santos did well to prevent Rocha getting side control. Santos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Rocha tries to stand and escape but Santos is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rocha controlling the pace. Santos won't allow Rocha to pass to mount.

I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight! Eduardo Rocha showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rocha has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
