Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pat Mc Donald!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Tate!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mc Donald loads up on a big right hand but Tate slips the punch.
Mc Donald wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mc Donald scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Mc Donald misses with a looping left.

Tate feints and as Mc Donald raises his hands in defense, Tate changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Mc Donald keeping moving, preventing Tate from controlling successfully.
Tate works over Mc Donald with some ground and pound from guard.
Tate advances to half guard.
Tate has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tate scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mc Donald has hold of Tate's hands but Tate slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Mc Donald is looking to control Tate's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mc Donald avoid being mounted?
Mc Donald is staying active underneath Tate, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tate lands a nice short elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mc Donald is looking for a sweep. Tate is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tate is looking to advance position but Mc Donald won't allow it.

Tate is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tate working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Tate passes to full mount!
Tate scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Mc Donald tries to reverse the position but Tate maintains control.
Tate connects with a couple of good shots from mount.


Mc Donald is rocked!


It looks like Pat Mc Donald has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mc Donald really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Oh Mc Donald is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tate drops a big elbow. That's hurt Mc Donald! More shots from Tate and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

An out of breath Bobby Tate thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
