Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felix Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tra Fulton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tra Fulton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Felix Castro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tra Fulton! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fulton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Castro moves out of range of the body kick from Fulton.
Castro scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. An elbow from Castro crashes against the mat.
Castro trying to control the action but Fulton is working from the bottom. Castro could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Castro tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Castro has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Castro working away. Fulton is trying to get back to half guard. Castro working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castro postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Castro lands the left hand. Castro scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Castro working over Fulton with some ground and pound. Fulton looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Castro is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Fulton has managed to free his arm - good work. Castro seems to be working for a kimura but Fulton defends the submission attempt. Castro tries to pass to full mount but Fulton defends it. Fulton is trying to get back to full guard. Fulton trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fulton moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Castro postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Fulton is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Castro, into his guard. Castro is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Castro had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fulton is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Castro Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Fulton's back instead. Fulton just trying to survive but Castro is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Fulton turns into Castro and is now in his guard.
Fulton thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fulton postures up.
Fulton trying to control the position from guard on top but Castro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fulton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Fulton tries to free his leg and advance position but Castro is retaining full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fulton throws a head kick but Castro moves out of range.
Fulton just misses with a punch to the body.
Castro shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Fulton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Castro tries to avoid it but Fulton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Castro to the ground. Castro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Castro looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Castro looking to pass the guard. Fulton is looking to stand up but Castro isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fulton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Castro can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Castro wants to pass the guard but Fulton is keeping the position. Fulton avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Castro postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Fulton lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Castro! Fulton trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Felix Castro dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Fulton misses with a body kick. Castro misses with a straight right. Fulton blocks a leg kick. Castro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fulton as he jumps to the side. Fulton misses the shot to the body. Castro lands a nice leg kick that just misses Fulton's sensitive parts. Fulton blocks a jab. Fulton throws a right hand that Castro ducks under and follows up with a left that Castro also avoids with ease. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - Fulton looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Fulton avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Fulton fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Castro on the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castro just misses with a punch to the body.
Fulton is looking to clinch. Castro misses with an uppercut. Castro closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Fulton is trying to improve his position. Castro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fulton keeps working. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fulton gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Castro wants to take a breather but Fulton is having none of it. Fulton is looking to improve his position.
Castro looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fulton gets full guard. Fulton is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Castro trying to control but Fulton is working from the bottom. Fulton lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Castro! Fulton working for a guillotine from mount but Castro is in no mood to give up. Castro is looking to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castro is working hard here to advance position. Fulton wants to take Castro's back but he can't do it this time. Fulton jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Castro is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Castro and Fulton has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Fulton working away. Fulton wants to control but Castro is keeping him busy. Fulton in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Castro is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
