Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Durand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hohepa Tama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durand tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tama paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Durand clobbers Tama with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Tama shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Durand as he avoids it easily.
Durand connects with the punch.

Durand lands a nice looking body shot.

Tama throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Durand tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tama is in Durand's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Durand wants to get back to his feet but Tama is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Tama is pushing down on Durand's leg trying to pass to half guard. Durand is fighting to maintain full guard but Tama has managed to sneak the leg through.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Durand is looking for a sweep. Tama is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Tama maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Durand could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Tama has cracked it and Durand is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Tama!
