Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jermaine Beckford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Goldstein!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Ben Hemmingworth and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goldstein shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Beckford sprawls well. Beckford wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Goldstein gets slowly back to his feet.
Goldstein is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Goldstein tries to clinch
and Goldstein takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Beckford definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Goldstein tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Beckford counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Goldstein tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Beckford counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Goldstein thinking.
Goldstein looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Beckford takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Goldstein fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Beckford avoids it really well and circles away.
Jermaine Beckford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Goldstein.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Beckford throws a good cross that connects.
Goldstein will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Beckford moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Beckford dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Goldstein shoots in looking for a takedown but Beckford manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Goldstein's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Goldstein moves in looking to clinch but Beckford pushes him off.
Beckford fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Beckford keeps the fight on the outside.
Goldstein wants to clinch
and Beckford counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Beckford leaves Goldstein with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Beckford throws a shot to the body.
Goldstein tries to clinch but Beckford moves away

and Beckford counters with a crisp right hand that drops Goldstein! Beckford lets Goldstein back up to his feet, looking for a finish!


Goldstein is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Beckford throws a low kick but Goldstein moves out of range easily.
Goldstein is still on wobbly legs! Can Beckford finish him?
Beckford misses with a looping left.
Nice shot by Beckford.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Goldstein.
Beckford is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Beckford motions for Goldstein to come forward. Beckford throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Goldstein fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Beckford avoids it really well and circles away.
Goldstein seems to have recovered his senses.

Goldstein closes the distance looking to clinch
and Beckford counters with a crisp right that sends Goldstein to the canvas! Beckford follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jermaine Beckford!
Jermaine Beckford decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
