Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yushin Okami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Barnes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be. Okami has chosen EMF - Unbelieveble as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okami blocks a jab.
A good leg kick by Barnes.
Okami throws a right hand that misses
letting Barnes counter with a right hand.
Barnes slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Some bone on bone action there as Okami checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Barnes scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Okami doesn't seem bothered though.
Okami closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Barnes quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Barnes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Okami thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Barnes's head.

Barnes wants to clinch up but Okami keeps it at a distance.
Barnes connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Okami's hands.

and Okami counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Okami throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Barnes avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Okami lunges at Barnes with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Barnes's hand.
Barnes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Okami paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Okami throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Barnes walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

enabling Barnes to counter with a crisp jab.

and Barnes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Barnes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Okami.
Okami misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Okami might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Barnes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Okami throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Okami throws a lazy right hand but Barnes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barnes sizes up Okami with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Okami has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Barnes.
Okami looks to land a combination but Barnes avoids it well.

Okami takes a shot to the body in his stride.

and Barnes counters with a straight right hand.

Okami looks to land a left hand but Barnes moved out of range nicely.
Okami's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Barnes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Okami.
Barnes wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barnes buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Barnes engages and cracks Okami with a massive lead left hook - Okami tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Barnes is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
