The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cena is defended easily by Silva.
Silva misses with an uppercut.
Cena takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Silva misses with a two punch combination.
Silva feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cenas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
It looks like John Cena has been cut.
John Cena seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cena has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
