Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Abensur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe throws a head kick but Abensur moves out of range.
Abensur misses with a wild combination.

Joe closes the distance and clinches.

Joe manages to break the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Abensur.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Abensur has eaten all the pies!

Abensur seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Joe has his foot on Abensur's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Abensur works his way back into a safe position though.

Abensur got a little sloppy there for a moment and Joe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Abensur has managed to get both his arms back between Joe's legs - danger averted.
Abensur not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Joe.
Well Joe has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
