Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Sajdak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Erickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sajdak comes to the cage accompanied by Thrift Shop. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Sajdak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lars Erickson! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Erickson slips a jab and a cross from Sajdak.
Erickson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Joe Sajdak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Erickson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Erickson throws a sloppy head kick and Sajdak moves out of range easily. Sajdak fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Erickson darts in looking for a takedown but Sajdak gets double underhooks and turns Erickson into the cage. Erickson keeps control of Sajdak as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Erickson pulls guard effortlessly. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Erickson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Erickson controls Sajdak momentarily but Sajdak frees himself. Sajdak knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Erickson on the ground. Sajdak wants to stand but Erickson is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Erickson is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Sajdak frees his head nicely. Oh but Erickson has switched to an armbar! Sajdak is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
