Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Edwards! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mason Stone! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone gets a takedown into half guard. Edwards is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Edwards slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Edwards working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Stone looking to pass the guard. Stone postures up in Edwards's guard and throws a big left but Edwards blocks it. Stone trying to control but Edwards is working from the bottom. Stone wants to pass the guard but Edwards is keeping the position. Edwards is looking for a triangle but Stone pushes his legs off easily.
Edwards looking for a sweep. Not yet Edwards, not yet. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Stone trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stone stopping the sweep attempt from Edwards.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Stone scores a takedown into full mount! Stone breaks from Edwards's wrist control and lands an elbow. Edwards is trying to escape the mount.
Stone with a couple of short strikes.
It looks like Matt Edwards has been cut. Stone avoids the attempt from Edwards to control. Stone with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stone is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Edwards is surviving well by controlling Stone's body position as best he can. Stone is working for a guillotine from mount but Edwards frees his head quite easily.
Stone looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The referee warns Edwards that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Edwards is trying to escape the mount.
Edwards bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stone is on top in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Edwards looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stone is one step ahead there. Edwards had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Stone is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Edwards Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Stone's back instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone manages to reverse the position and now he's in Edwards's guard. Nice work there by Stone.
Edwards is looking for a triangle but Stone pushes his legs off easily.
Edwards looking for a guillotine here but Stone defends easily.
Edwards looking for a sweep. Not yet Edwards, not yet. Stone wants to control from the top but Edwards keeps moving. Stone keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Edwards's head. Stone passes into half guard. Stone is trying to control the action in half guard but Edwards is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Edwards to regain full guard. Edwards manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Edwards has control of Stone's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stone regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Stone is squirming around, avoiding Edwards's attempts to control the action. Stone is desperately trying to improve his position but Edwards has a good base and remains in mount. Edwards fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Stone is in all sorts of trouble here.
Edwards looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Edwards throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mason Stone dominated that round. The cut man is working on Matt Edwards's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Stone lands with a cross. Stone wants to clinch up but Edwards keeps it at a distance. Stone drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Edwards regains half guard. Edwards works his way to full guard. Good work. Stone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Edwards swivels though and keeps the full guard. Stone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Edwards is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Stone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Edwards throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Edwards throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone tries to free his leg and advance position but Edwards is retaining full guard. Edwards will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Stone advances to half guard. Edwards is defending against the submission attempts here by Stone.
Stone is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Edwards tries to get to full guard but Stone has control of the leg. Stone throwing shots but Edwards is blocking nicely. Edwards looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Stone is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Edwards is working hard here to advance position.

Stone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Edwards is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Edwards working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stone. Stone is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Edwards has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Stone is looking to defend but Edwards has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Stone! Edwards pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Stone taps out and this one is all over!
