Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Te Huna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Fabio Machado has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fabio Machado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Te Huna! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Te Huna blocks a head kick by Machado.
Machado misses with a combination
and Te Huna counters with a lovely straight right hand! Machado throws a series of punches but Te Huna moves out of range. Te Huna connects with a good right hand that stumbles Machado. Machado circles away out of range and recomposes himself. A telegraphed right hand from Te Huna misses the target. Te Huna takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Machado throws a sloppy head kick and Te Huna moves out of range easily. Te Huna fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Te Huna gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Machado. Machado misses with an attempted mid kick.
Te Huna walks into a left hand. Machado wants to clinch up but Te Huna keeps it at a distance. Machado goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Machado gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Te Huna. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Te Huna lands with an overhand left. Machado tries to close the distance and clinch up but Te Huna swats him away and circles back towards the center. Machado loads up on a big right hand but Te Huna slips the punch. Te Huna throws a poor cross that misses
and Machado moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Te Huna has Machado pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Machado manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Te Huna can't get the takedown.
Machado crunches a lovely knee into Te Huna's ribcage. Machado breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Machado lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Te Huna missing with a left hand there. Machado was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Te Huna tries to keep at a distance but Machado has taken the fight into the clinch. Machado gets control of Te Huna's arms and successfully pulls guard. Machado will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Machado is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Te Huna has his hands clasped together but Machado extends and breaks Te Huna's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Machado.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Fabio Machado!
