Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daiki Hitoshi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Valentin Nasimentu! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nasimentu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hitoshi misses with a straight right. Nasimentu looks to clinch and Hitoshi counters with a stiff right hand. Nasimentu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hitoshi swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nasimentu darts in trying to clinch and Nasimentu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hitoshi scores with a jab. Hitoshi misses with a few strikes there.
Nasimentu doesn't manage to clinch there - Hitoshi circles away.
Nasimentu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A jab from Hitoshi misses. Hitoshi misses with an uppercut. Nasimentu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hitoshi. A lazy left from Hitoshi finds it's target. Hitoshi looks to land a right hand but Nasimentu moved out of range. Nasimentu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hitoshi.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hitoshi misses with a right hand and Nasimentu counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Daiki Hitoshi has been cut. Hitoshi misses with a hook. Nasimentu ducked under it nicely. Nasimentu tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hitoshi counters with a straight right hand. Hitoshi swings widly with a right hand
and Nasimentu counters with a right hand that sends Hitoshi tumbling to the canvas! Can Nasimentu finish him? He dives into Hitoshi's guard looking to do just that! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hitoshi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nasimentu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nasimentu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Nasimentu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hitoshi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nasimentu wants to pass the guard but Hitoshi is keeping the position. Nasimentu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hitoshi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nasimentu is aware though and is defending well. Hitoshi looking for a guillotine here but Nasimentu defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hitoshi keeping moving, preventing Nasimentu from controlling successfully. Hitoshi wants to sweep here but Nasimentu controlling him for the moment. Nasimentu wants to control from the top but Hitoshi keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nasimentu stopping the sweep attempt from Hitoshi.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Valentin Nasimentu wasn't active enough on the ground. Nasimentu wants to clinch. Hitoshi is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. A big right from Hitoshi misses. Hitoshi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Nasimentu. Valentin Nasimentu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nasimentu wants to clinch up but Hitoshi keeps it at a distance. Hitoshi throws the left hand but Nasimentu avoids the punch easily. Nasimentu needs to keep his hands up - Hitoshi had a free shot at his head there. Hitoshi missing with a left hand there. Nasimentu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. and Nasimentu counters with a huge left! Hitoshi is in big trouble! He's backing up but Nasimentu isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Hitoshi from any more damage. A dominating finish by Nasimentu!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Valentin Nasimentu! Valentin Nasimentu decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
