Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Homero Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Higashi Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Higashi Sato is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez throws a hook to the side of Sato's head but Sato sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lopez lands a right hook to the body.
Lopez has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Den of Tears (22 coaches, $300 fee) in the buildup to the fight.
Lopez is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Lopez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sato. Sato circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

and Lopez counters with a shoot takedown. Sato fights it but they end up in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

In his post fight interview, Higashi Sato started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
