Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riel Dan Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bad House Music ('98 Dub Mix) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Santiago Colon has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

24 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Riel Dan Reyes! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reyes blocks the body kick.
Colon is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Colon with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Reyes on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Colon goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Colon looks to land a left hand but Reyes moved out of range nicely. Colon buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Colon takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Reyes avoids the body shot from Colon.
An inside leg kick lands from Colon. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reyes moves out of range of the body kick. Reyes bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Colon's head. Reyes shoots in for a double leg but Colon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Reyes tries to move into range but Colon moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Colon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reyes moves out of range as Colon strikes. Colon connects with a single shot there. A cross from Reyes lands. Reyes tries to move into range but Colon moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Colon is looking to clinch. Reyes waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Colon. Colon fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Reyes checks it well. Colon moves into the clinch. Colon tries a body shot but Reyes blocks it.

Colon is trying to maintain a safe position but Reyes gets an underhook and turns Colon into the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reyes trying to control the position but instead, Colon has worked for underhooks and has pushed Reyes into the cage. Reyes can't find room to land a body shot as Colon controls the action.
Reyes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Colon walks into a straight right hand from Reyes. Reyes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Colon looks for the body kick but Reyes saw that one coming. Colon clinches up against the cage. Colon is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Reyes looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Colon effectively controlling the action here. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Colon. Colon misses with a hook from the clinch. Colon throws a punch but it's blocked by Reyes. Reyes blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Reyes blocks a body shot from Colon. Colon lands an uppercut. Colon digs a right hand into Reyes's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Reyes's gas tank.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Colon lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Reyes or not. Colon tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A right hook to the body lands for Colon.

Santiago Colon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riel Dan Reyes. Reyes turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Reyes manages to end up in side control. Reyes has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Colon! Colon is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at The Charles Martel School of Greatness, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Colon is wriggling around trying to escape.
Reyes looking to control but Colon is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Reyes avoids the attempt from Colon to control. Colon tries to reverse the position but Reyes maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reyes shoots in for a takedown but Colon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Colon cracks Reyes with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Reyes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Colon sees it coming and avoids it easily. Colon lands with a nice body punch. Reyes misses with a hook. Colon ducked under it nicely. Colon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reyes moves away. Colon connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Reyes's hands.
It looks like Riel Dan Reyes has been cut. Colon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Reyes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Colon catches Reyes with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Reyes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Colon sees it coming and avoids it easily. Reyes gets tackled into the cage by Colon. Colon maintains the clinch. A short body shot lands from Colon as the two fighters clinch.
Reyes tries to work over Colon's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Colon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Colon tries to clinch and Reyes counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Colon! The referee asks Reyes politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Reyes prefers to stall for the moment though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reyes is looking to take a break and control but Colon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Colon is trying to control Reyes's posture but Reyes avoids it. Reyes misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Colon is trying to improve his position. Riel Dan Reyes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Colon is looking to regain half guard here but Reyes keeps moving and retains side control. A lull in the action here as Reyes stalls from top position. You can see the frustration on Colon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Reyes trying to control the action but Colon is working from the bottom. Colon tries to bench press Reyes off him but Reyes keeps the position. Santiago Colon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Reyes throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Colon is looking for a sweep. Reyes is staying tight to Colon's torso, preventing him from escaping. You can see the frustration on Colon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Reyes scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Colon to see if he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Colon struggling a bit here. Reyes misses with the ground and pound. Reyes working the ground and pound. Reyes scoring with punches from side control. Colon tries to improve position but can't. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Reyes in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Reyes is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Colon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reyes lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Colon down.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Riel Dan Reyes. I think Colon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
