Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between The One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elbows McFighty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). One's entrance music is Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up. A fine choice. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, The One!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Elbows McFighty!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One fails to land the takedown.
McFighty scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
McFighty lands a head kick. One smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
One tries a head kick but it misses.
The One seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McFighty pushes One up against the cage in a clinch.
McFighty is leaning against One and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
McFighty lands with a right to the head.

McFighty has One pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. McFighty pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending One tumbling to the mat - McFighty dives into One's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
McFighty missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
McFighty sitting in guard, not really doing much.
McFighty pushes down on One's leg and manages to get into half guard.
McFighty is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

One wants to improve his position but McFighty is controlling well.

McFighty decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
McFighty lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but One circles away quickly and effectively.
One takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
One shoots for a takedown but McFighty saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nice jab there from McFighty.
One staying out of range there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
One uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McFighty.
One fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McFighty avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The One. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McFighty scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
One is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

McFighty decides to stand back up. McFighty steps back and let's One get back to his feet.
One sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
One is trying hard to land a takedown here. McFighty sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
One is breathing heavily.

McFighty throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. One tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McFighty is in One's guard.

McFighty stands up and waves to One to follow him.

McFighty has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

McFighty has dropped down and is working for a takedown. One is trying to keep an underhook but McFighty manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McFighty prevents One from improving his position.

McFighty decides to return to a standing position.

McFighty looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for One!
McFighty moves into full mount!
McFighty sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
It looks like McFighty might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
McFighty throwing strikes here but One is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
One is looking to get to half guard.
One wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by McFighty.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Elbows McFighty dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



McFighty rushes One and presses him up against the cage.
One is trying to drag McFighty to the mat but McFighty just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
One can't break the clinch.
One wants to get back to striking at distance but McFighty won't allow it.

McFighty pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McFighty misses with a wild combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from One is defended easily by McFighty.

McFighty closes the distance and pushes One back into the cage.

McFighty manages to break the clinch.
One fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The One. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McFighty misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from One.
McFighty tries to bum rush One with a series of wild strikes but One uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
One shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McFighty defends it nicely.
One changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McFighty tries to avoid it but One manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McFighty to the ground. McFighty escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

McFighty takes the fight into the clinch.

McFighty gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, One regains guard.
One might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

McFighty is stalling in the full guard.

One has an active guard here but McFighty has managed to pass into half guard.

One wants to control but McFighty is keeping busy and won't allow it.

McFighty seems to be working for a kimura but One defends the submission attempt.
McFighty prevents One from improving his position.

McFighty escapes and gets back to his feet.

One with a poor takedown

and McFighty counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

McFighty has clasped his hands together around One's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

McFighty is going oldschool here, as he tries to force One to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so One shrugs it off.

McFighty closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

McFighty decides to stand up, so the ref orders One to his feet.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by One!
One fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

One is fighting off a takedown attempt but McFighty is just too persistent for him and manages to trip One to the mat. One regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
One can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McFighty controls the pace.
McFighty's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
McFighty has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
One looking for a sweep. Not yet One, not yet.

Elbows McFighty has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

One gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows McFighty to score an easy takedown into full guard.
McFighty in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
McFighty stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. One swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McFighty postures up.

McFighty gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
One changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McFighty tries to avoid it but One manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McFighty to the ground. McFighty escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

One throws a quick inside leg kick.

McFighty drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
One knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McFighty on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McFighty not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
One utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The One has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Elbows McFighty wasn't active enough on the ground.

McFighty shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McFighty showed some decent athleticism there.
One wants to improve his position but McFighty is controlling well.

McFighty stands up and beckons One to join him on the feet.
One fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The One. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McFighty defends well against a solid takedown attempt from One.

McFighty closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McFighty lands in his opponent's guard.
McFighty stays in close to One's body and controls the position.

McFighty throwing strikes from guard but One blocks nicely.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McFighty accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
McFighty not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Let's hope that McFighty has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Elbows McFighty hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

McFighty is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in One's half guard.
Elbows McFighty is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

One is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McFighty pulls his head out easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Elbows McFighty comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McFighty has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
