Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Rotten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Finnigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Finnigan has chosen Finnigan's wake as his entrance music. Johnny Rotten has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Rotten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tim Finnigan! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rotten drives through with a takedown into guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rotten accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Rotten controlling from the top position. Finnigan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rotten looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Finnigan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Finnigan wants to get back to his feet but Rotten is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rotten stands and throws Finnigan's legs to the side, diving into side control. Finnigan tries to improve position but can't. Rotten has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rotten tries to move into full mount but can't pass Finnigan's legs. Finnigan is looking for a sweep. Rotten is breathing heavily. Finnigan wants to control but Rotten postures up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Finnigan fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Finnigan misses with an uppercut. Rotten tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Finnigan swivels and escapes. Rotten throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Finnigan's waist but Finnigan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rotten off to one side. Rotten drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Rotten trying to control the position from guard on top but Finnigan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Finnigan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rotten is one step ahead there. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Finnigan is on top in guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Finnigan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rotten swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tim Finnigan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Finnigan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rotten looks to clinch and Finnigan counters with a two punch combo. Rotten drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rotten in side control, just content to control the action for now. Finnigan parries the strikes from Rotten easily there. Rotten is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Finnigan to escape.
Rotten trying to control the position but Finnigan is working away. Rotten thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finnigan tries to improve position but can't. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rotten wants to control but Finnigan is keeping him busy. Finnigan is trying to improve his position. Rotten wants to lay and pray for a moment but Finnigan keeps working.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Finnigan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rotten tries to land a front kick but Finnigan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Finnigan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Finnigan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rotten's head. Rotten shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Finnigan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rotten. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Finnigan trying to control but Rotten postures up.
Rotten decides to return to a standing position. Rotten closes the distance and clinches up with Finnigan, looking for a takedown. Rotten pushes Finnigan against the cage but Finnigan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Finnigan tries to clinch up. Finnigan closes the distance but Rotten moves to the side and Rotten counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. No joy there for Rotten, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rotten throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Finnigan misses with a wild combination.
Finnigan throws a combination that misses and Rotten counters with a shoot takedown. Finnigan fights it but they end up in guard. Rotten is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rotten slips nicely into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Finnigan regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Finnigan is trying to control the position but Rotten postures up. Rotten advances to half guard. Finnigan is trying to maintain the position but Rotten is very close to passing his half guard. Rotten performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Rotten postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Finnigan to stand up. Johnny Rotten is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rotten clinches up with Finnigan and pushes him back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Rotten dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Tim Finnigan's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Finnigan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rotten. That did some damage! Rotten dodges the punch combination from Finnigan.
Good shot there by Finnigan. Rotten moves into range and clinches up with Finnigan. Rotten pulls guard. Finnigan throwing strikes from guard but Rotten blocks nicely. Finnigan trying to control but Rotten is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rotten working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Finnigan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Finnigan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Finnigan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rotten's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Finnigan postures up.

A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Tim Finnigan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rotten gets a clinch. Finnigan lands a knee to the body.

And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Rotten showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rotten, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
