Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chryst Halo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Peixoto!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peixoto ducks right into an uppercut from Halo.
Peixoto looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Halo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Peixoto.
Anderson Peixoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peixoto shoots in for a takedown but Halo shows good takedown defense.
Chryst Halo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Peixoto.
Peixoto uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Halo.

Halo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Peixoto looks winded!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Halo cracks Peixoto with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Halo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Peixoto to stand back up!
Halo lands a jab to Peixoto's midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Halo lands a body shot.
Halo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice shot lands for Halo.
Peixoto is rocked!
Halo lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Peixoto up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Halo from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Peixoto's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chryst Halo!
