Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sugar Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Rockwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sugar Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Rockwood! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rockwood darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Jackson is staying active underneath Rockwood, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rockwood tries to pass to full mount but Jackson defends it. Rockwood is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Jackson has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rockwood stands up out of the half guard. Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Rockwood avoids the head kick by Jackson.
Rockwood changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Rockwood manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jackson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A head kick by Rockwood misses and Jackson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A head kick misses from Jackson. Rockwood closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rockwood avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jackson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rockwood wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving. Rockwood looks gassed! Rockwood passes Jackson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Rockwood looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jackson is looking to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rockwood trying to control from Jackson's half guard. Jackson has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Jackson has momentary wrist control but Rockwood slips an elbow through the middle. Jackson wants to get back to his feet but Rockwood is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Rockwood pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jackson is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Rockwood dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Jackson tries to clinch but Rockwood moves away and Rockwood counters with a nice double leg into guard. Jackson is working an open guard so Rockwood takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jackson throws a one two combo.
Rockwood shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed Rockwood's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jackson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Sugar Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackson wants to clinch and Rockwood counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jackson won't be happy with that. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jackson is trying to get back to his feet. Rockwood landing a few strikes. Jackson tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rockwood jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jackson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jackson and Rockwood has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Rockwood tries for a kimura but Jackson is defending well. Jackson is trying to buck Rockwood off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. A lull in the action here as Rockwood stalls from top position. Rockwood advances to full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rockwood forces the positional change into back control. Rockwood working for the choke. Jackson controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockwood is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Rockwood tries to get the hooks in deep but Jackson pushed the leg off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Rockwood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Jackson looks to clinch and Rockwood counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard. Jackson wants to stand up but Rockwood is controlling him. Rockwood wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position. Mark Rockwood has got the better of the ground game so far. Rockwood trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom. Rockwood pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jackson is keeping the position for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson being controlled here, momentarily. Rockwood drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jackson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rockwood has Jackson in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rockwood looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jackson passes into half guard.
Rockwood tries to roll over but Jackson keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Jackson misses with a body shot
and Rockwood counters with a takedown into side control. Rockwood prevents Jackson from escaping the position. Rockwood wants to control for a moment but Jackson uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockwood moves into full guard.
Sugar Jackson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jackson throwing strikes but missing. Rockwood has his hands on Jackson's head, controlling the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Rockwood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Rockwood winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
