Raster is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Time Bomb. Takuji Kawashima has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takuji Kawashima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Neil Raster! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Ron Honeybunn and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kawashima misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Takuji Kawashima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kawashima pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kawashima swings for the body but Raster moves out of range.

Raster scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Nice uppercut there from Raster. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A clash of legs there as Raster blocks the low kick. Raster defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kawashima. Raster smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Raster creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kawashima sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Kawashima tries to bench press Raster off him but Raster keeps the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kawashima is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. An elbow from Raster crashes against the mat.
Kawashima sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are battling for position here. Kawashima manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Kawashima controls Raster momentarily but Raster frees himself. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kawashima is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kawashima stays in close to Raster's body and controls the position. Raster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kawashima. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Raster preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kawashima sitting in guard, not really doing much. Raster keeping moving, preventing Kawashima from controlling successfully. Raster looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Raster seems keen to control Kawashima's posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Takuji Kawashima just wasn't active enough. Raster lands with a right hand. Kawashima looking to score a takedown here. Raster is defending well but Kawashima drives through and ends up in Raster's guard. Kawashima throwing strikes but missing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kawashima lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kawashima wants to control from the top but Raster keeps moving. Kawashima stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Raster swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kawashima is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kawashima keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Raster's head. Kawashima has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Raster is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kawashima stands up over Raster, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Neil Raster will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Takuji Kawashima's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kawashima ducks under a wild hook from Raster. Kawashima definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kawashima misses with a body punch

Kawashima doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kawashima uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Raster. Kawashima slips a jab from Raster. Kawashima shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kawashima was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Check out the look on Kawashima's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
