Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sammy Dabone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Glenardo Silva!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dabone lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Silva sprawling to the canvas. Dabone follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Silva hang on?
Silva is rocked!
Dabone trying to control the action but Silva is working from the bottom.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Dabone finish him?
Silva gets full guard.
Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dabone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dabone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
Dabone sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Dabone could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silva is on top in guard.
Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Dabone doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Silva drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dabone looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dabone looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dabone!
Silva gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Silva is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dabone thows a huge punch but Silva dodges it nicely.
Silva controlling the position well.
Silva is pressing down on Dabone's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Dabone pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Silva is keeping the position for now.
Silva throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Silva is looking for a triangle but Dabone pushes his legs off easily.
Dabone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dabone is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Silva has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Dabone is looking to defend but Silva has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Dabone! Silva pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Dabone taps out and this one is all over!
