The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Richard Sherman has been cut.
Silva cracks a nice hook into Sherman's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Horrible takedown by Sherman or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Sherman fails to pull guard.
Silva lands a nice uppercut.

Silva drops Sherman onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Sherman is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Sherman is rocked!

Oh Sherman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
Sherman jumps guard but Silva stands there with Sherman around his waist. Sherman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sherman seems to have got his legs back now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Sherman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sherman is breathing heavily.
Silva is pressed up against the cage. Sherman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silva down to the mat. Silva avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Silva lands a nice shot to the body.
Silva shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Sherman takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Silva sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Sherman bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
