The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida swats away the attempt to clinch by Boyka.
Boyka looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Boyka is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Boyka is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Machida shoots for a takedown but Boyka saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Machida is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Boyka can't fight it off and eventually Machida manages to take the fight to the floor. Boyka looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
