Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Namnie Osamowa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mark Machado has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mark Machado seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Namnie Osamowa!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osamowa darts in and clinches Machado up against the cage.
Machado is trying to trip Osamowa. He has hold of a leg but Osamowa is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Machado persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Machado lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Machado is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Machado has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Machado throwing strikes from guard but Osamowa blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Osamowa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Osamowa controls Machado momentarily but Machado frees himself.

Machado is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Osamowa has his foot on Machado's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Machado works his way back into a safe position though.

Osamowa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Machado pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Machado is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Machado lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Machado has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Machado works his foot free and advances to mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Machado cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Osamowa takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Machado lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Machado lands a couple of good shots and Osamowa has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Osamowa is rocked!
Machado scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Osamowa is still in real trouble! Can Machado finish him?
Machado is raining down hard shots and and Osamowa has had enough - he's tapped out due to the strikes!
