Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Samir King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Oscar Henley! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King moves out of range as Henley strikes. A lazy left from Henley finds it's target. Henley connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. King feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. King stands up over Henley, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Henley working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from King. King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Henley swivels though and keeps the full guard. King missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Henley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst King is controlling him. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as King accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Henley pulls King in to control the position. King lands a couple of elbows. Henley has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Clean and Green. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! King thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. King missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. King scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Henley preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. King connects with a couple of short punches. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as King accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. King postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. King lands a couple of decent looking shots. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! King slips nicely into half guard. King stops Henley from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Samir King dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Henley misses the shot to the body. King moves out of range of the strikes. Henley lands with a cross. King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Henley but Henley pushes him off and we're back to square one. King is trying hard to land a takedown here. Henley sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. King shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samir King. That's going to take a lot out of him. King drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Henley tries to bench press King off him but King keeps the position. King tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. King is chipping away with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. King working away. Henley on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Henley is looking to regain half guard here but King keeps moving and retains side control. King working the ground and pound. King working the body and head with strikes. King working the head and body with strikes. King lands an elbow. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! King scores with punches from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henley is trying to buck King off. King is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Henley can do to turn this around? Henley on the wrong end of some ground and pound. King working the body and head with strikes. King working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Henley is rocked! King scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Henley is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and King can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Samir King! During a confident post fight interview, Samir King thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
