Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Fullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alex Hawkins has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Hawkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Fullen! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawkins looks to land a combination but Fullen avoids it well. Fullen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hawkins sprawls well initially but Fullen persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fullen wants to get back to his feet.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
It looks like Fullen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Justin Fullen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Fullen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Fullen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck for Fullen with that takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fullen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hawkins as he avoids it easily. Alex Hawkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Fullen. Hawkins throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Fullen darts in looking for a takedown but Hawkins gets double underhooks and turns Fullen into the cage. Hawkins is trying to force a seperation but Fullen has the dominant position. Hawkins working hard to break the clinch. Hawkins tries for a takedown but Fullen manages to get underhooks.
Hawkins is breathing heavily. Hawkins tries to circle away but Fullen has him pinned against the cage. Fullen stalls. Hawkins drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fullen gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fullen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hawkins tries to sprawl but Fullen drives through with a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fullen is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hawkins is trying to stand back up but Fullen is controlling him

Hawkins slaps away a takedown attempt from Fullen, before circling back to the center of the mat. Fullen tries a low kick but Hawkins avoids it. A nice combination there by Hawkins.
Hawkins gets tackled into the cage by Fullen. Fullen maintains the clinch. Hawkins tries to circle away but Fullen has him pinned against the cage. Fullen breaks the clinch.
Hawkins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fullen. Good exchange - Hawkins coming out on top. Alex Hawkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fullen has a takedown stuffed. Hawkins tries to clinch and Fullen moves into the clinch. Hawkins wants to break the clinch but can't.
Fullen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hawkins can't fight it off and eventually Fullen manages to take the fight to the floor. Hawkins looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hawkins is trying to control the position but Fullen postures up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hawkins working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Fullen has passed into half guard!
Fullen tries to stand but can't do so whilst Hawkins controls his leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Fullen dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Fullen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hawkins is defending against the submission attempts here by Fullen.
Hawkins is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fullen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fullen wants to free his trapped foot but Hawkins is holding on for dear life with his legs. Well, if Fullen is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Fullen wants to stand up but Hawkins is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fullen looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Hawkins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fullen on the ground. Fullen is figuring out what he wants to do next. Fullen working over Hawkins with some ground and pound. Hawkins looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Fullen performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Justin Fullen. Fullen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hawkins swivels and escapes. Alex Hawkins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hawkins misses with a combination
and Fullen counters by moving into the clinch. Hawkins tries to break the clinch but Fullen is controlling the position. Hawkins has had enough of the clinch but Fullen keeps him there for the moment. Hawkins prevents a takedown attempt there.
Fullen wants the takedown. Hawkins is fighting it off but Fullen persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hawkins's guard against the cage. Fullen sitting in guard here, content to control. Fullen cracks Hawkins with a solid left hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hawkins being controlled here, momentarily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Justin Fullen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Fullen staying out of range there. Fullen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hawkins's waist but Hawkins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fullen off to one side. Left hook, right uppercut from Hawkins. Hawkins misses with a double jab.
Hawkins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fullen throws a push kick but Hawkins slaps the foot to one side. Hawkins looks to clinch and Fullen counters by moving into the clinch. Fullen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hawkins uses from the top position. Fullen has control of Hawkins's left arm, preventing Hawkins from doing any damage. Fullen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hawkins manages to get himself to full guard.

Fullen wants to stand but Hawkins has a closed guard, so he can't escape. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hawkins being controlled here, momentarily.
