Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robin Lehner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andreas Almdudler! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lehner tries to sprawl but Almdudler drives through with a takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Lehner wants to control but Almdudler passes into side.
Lehner struggling a bit here. Almdudler working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Lehner takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Almdudler lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Almdudler is chipping away with strikes.
Almdudler misses with the ground and pound. Almdudler is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lehner's shoulder. That is not cool. Almdudler is putting a hurting on Lehner here, landing some big shots from side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Lehner can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Almdudler misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Almdudler cracks Lehner with a big right hand but Lehner just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Almdudler misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lehner is working to avoid the ground and pound but Almdudler connects with a decent elbow. Lehner is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Almdudler asserts his dominance and retains side control. Lehner avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Almdudler. Lehner manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Almdudler is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Almdudler stalling away here and it's allowed Lehner to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Almdudler pushes down on Lehner's leg and manages to get into half guard. Almdudler is looking for submissions but instead, Lehner has regained full guard.
Almdudler in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Almdudler throws a strike but Lehner rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Almdudler tries to land a sweep but no joy. Almdudler looking to control.
Lehner trying to control the position from guard on top but Almdudler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Almdudler working for a triangle but Lehner defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Almdudler looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Almdudler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lehner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Almdudler is keeping the position for now.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lehner blocks a jab. Almdudler scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Almdudler throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Almdudler tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lehner regains half guard, as Almdudler was trying to land strikes. Lehner on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Almdudler closes the distance looking to clinch and Lehner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lehner seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Almdudler has managed to clinch.
Lehner lands with a short head shot on the inside. Almdudler looking to stall.
Lehner softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Lehner scores with a shoulder strike. Lehner lands a nice uppercut. Almdudler is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lehner gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Almdudler tries for a takedown but Lehner manages to get underhooks.
Almdudler tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lehner avoids it. Lehner misses with the head strike.

Almdudler's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
That's one minute gone in the round. Almdudler has Lehner pressed against the cage, preventing Lehner from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A head punch on the inside from Lehner fails to land. Lehner working aggressively here.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Lehner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Almdudler throws a series of punches but Lehner moves out of range. Almdudler tries to clinch and Lehner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lehner throws a jab when Almdudler was well out of range. Almdudler dives in and grabs Lehner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lehner pushes down on Almdudler's head and hops out. Robin Lehner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andreas Almdudler. Lehner connects with a good right hand that stumbles Almdudler. Almdudler circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Lehner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Almdudler moves away. Lehner is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Almdudler shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lehner as he avoids it easily. Almdudler tries to clinch up. Lehner leaves Almdudler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Almdudler uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lehner. Almdudler feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Almdudler won't allow Lehner to sweep him here. Almdudler throws an elbow that misses. Lehner uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Almdudler's guard. Nice move by Lehner! Almdudler controls Lehner momentarily but Lehner frees himself. Lehner trying to control but Almdudler is working from the bottom. Almdudler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lehner manages to get himself to full guard.

Lehner looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Almdudler is looking for a sweep. Lehner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Almdudler keeps trying to improve his position. Almdudler wants to sweep but Lehner has passed to side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Almdudler tries to buck Lehner off but Lehner is having none of it. Almdudler sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Lehner is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Almdudler has managed to free his arm - good work. Almdudler wants to get back to full guard. Almdudler is looking to control Lehner's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Almdudler avoid being mounted? Almdudler tries to get to full guard but Lehner has control of the leg. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Almdudler is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Andreas Almdudler will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Almdudler lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Lehner pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Almdudler back to the cage. Lehner follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Almdudler misses with a head kick.
Almdudler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lehner is fending him off so far but Almdudler persists. Nope, Lehner circles away and we're back to standing. Lehner connects with a right hand. Almdudler shakes it off. Lehner misses with a looping right. Almdudler shoots for a takedown but Lehner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Almdudler fails to land the takedown. Robin Lehner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andreas Almdudler. A punch combination from Almdudler misses. Lehner gets tackled into the cage by Almdudler. Almdudler maintains the clinch. Lehner is struggling to control the position. Lehner avoiding damage as Almdudler throws knees to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Lehner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Andreas Almdudler is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Almdudler staying out of range there. Almdudler wants to clinch. Lehner lands an overhand right. Lehner throws out a loose jab but Almdudler uses good head movement to avoid it. Almdudler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lehner manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Almdudler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lehner swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lehner scores with a jab. Almdudler acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Horrible takedown by Almdudler or perhaps it was just good defense by Lehner which made him look bad. Lehner scores with a head kick.
Andreas Almdudler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lehner throws a shot from downtown. Almdudler moves away and avoids it. Almdudler walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lehner circles away from the clinch attempt and Lehner counters with a good low kick that Almdudler was not able to check. Lehner scores with a push kick. Almdudler fails to land with a series of punches.
Lehner throws the left hand but Almdudler avoids the punch easily. Almdudler fails in his attempt to clinch. Almdudler closes the distance looking to clinch and Lehner counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lehner circles away from the clinch attempt.
Almdudler misses with a body punch
and Lehner counters with a thumping low kick. Lehner doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Lehner misses with the combination.
Andreas Almdudler is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Almdudler defending well as Lehner loads up on a big left hand. Lehner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lehner is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Almdudler. Almdudler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lehner manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Almdudler shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Almdudler was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Almdudler goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lehner rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Almdudler's guard! Nice work there by Lehner!

Almdudler passes easily into side control. Nice work. Robin Lehner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lehner takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Almdudler is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lehner knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Almdudler throws a strike aimed at the side of Lehner's head but Lehner avoids it well.
And that's the end of the fight! Robin Lehner showed his dominance in that final round. I think Almdudler has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
