7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ulquiorra Schiffer! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schiffer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jones lunges at Schiffer with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Schiffer's hand. Jones throws a body kick that misses. We've been told by Jones's head coaches at ACME! Thai Boxing Academy 13 ELITE COACHES & SAUNA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Jones scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Schiffer avoids the head kick by Jones.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown but Schiffer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Schiffer throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Jones drives through with a takedown into guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jones stops Schiffer from standing up. Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Schiffer looking for a sweep. Not yet Schiffer, not yet. Schiffer controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones controls from within his opponent's guard. Schiffer controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ulquiorra Schiffer was stalling too much, according to the referee. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Schiffer pinned against the cage. Schiffer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A head kick misses from Schiffer. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Schiffer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jones misses with a series of wild punches.

and Schiffer counters with a head kick. That will keep Jones thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Jones closes the distance and lands a one-two. Ulquiorra Schiffer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Schiffer lands a nice shot that snaps Jones's head back.

He's got his arms around Schiffer's waist but Schiffer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Brian Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones blocks a head kick by Schiffer.
Jones looks to land a body kick but Schiffer moved away. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Schiffer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Schiffer prevents Jones from getting back to his feet. Schiffer trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones is pulling down on Schiffer's head to control his posture. Jones keeping moving, preventing Schiffer from controlling successfully.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ulquiorra Schiffer wasn't active enough on the ground. Jones misses with a hook
and Schiffer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Schiffer misses with a double jab.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Schiffer ducks down to avoid it. Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Schiffer, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Schiffer against the cage but Schiffer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Schiffer slips under a jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brian Jones will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Ulquiorra Schiffer has got the better of the ground game so far. Schiffer wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Schiffer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Schiffer is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea. Schiffer is pulling down on Jones's head. It's preventing any offense from Jones, at least for the moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Schiffer looking for a sweep. Not yet Schiffer, not yet.
