PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Grozni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alicate American (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alicate American!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

American feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

American scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

American stands and steps away. Grozni gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

American shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. American showed some decent athleticism there.
Grozni really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
American tries to stand but can't do so whilst Grozni controls his leg.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alicate American showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



American drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Grozni looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but American is defending well. Grozni quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! American has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Grozni celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
