The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nickels misses with a jab, cross combination.
The fighters circle momentarily. Vitor darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Nickels swings for the body but Vitor moves out of range.
Nickels throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vitor.
A telegraphed right hand from Vitor misses the target.
Vitor misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nickels stuns Vitor with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Vitor scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oooooh!!! Vitor has knocked Nickels down with a huge combo! Vitor steps away and waves a wobbly Nickels back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Vitor throws a right and a left that both miss.
Vitor connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Nickels! He's out on his feet! Vitor rushes in and drops Nickels with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Vic Vitor! Vic Vitor retains his light heavyweight title!
