Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jaylen Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Weidman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Pastor Troy - I Want War. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jaylen Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chris Weidman! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weidman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones. Jones fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Weidman on the side of the head. Jones misses with an uppercut
and Weidman counters with a nice leg kick. Jones swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Weidman. Weidman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jones throws a shot from downtown. Weidman moves away and avoids it. Weidman throws a right and a left that both miss. Jaylen Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Weidman. Jones missing with a left hand there. Weidman was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones throws a hook to the side of Weidman's head but Weidman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jones misses with a looping right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones takes a swing at Weidman's ribcage but misses. Weidman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jones napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jones struggling a bit here. Jones takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Weidman in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Jones tries to buck Weidman off but Weidman is having none of it. Jones is trying to control Weidman's posture but Weidman avoids it. Jones defending against the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones prevents Weidman from improving position. Weidman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working. Weidman throws a strike aimed at the side of Jones's head but Jones avoids it well. Weidman throws an elbow but Jones slips to the side and avoids it well. Jones wants to control but Weidman postures up. Weidman in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Weidman working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Weidman tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Weidman tries to move into full mount but can't pass Jones's legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weidman working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Jones can't do much from the bottom here. Weidman wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. Jones is trying to improve his position. The referee asks Weidman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Weidman prefers to stall for the moment though. Weidman working the strikes but Jones uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Weidman wants to advance to full mount but Jones doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Weidman controlling from the top position. Weidman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jones wants to stand but Weidman is controlling the position. Jones is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Weidman prevents a body shot from Jones. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chris Weidman will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Weidman lands with a kick to the temple. Jones shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" A combination from Jones does no damage. Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Weidman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Weidman moves out of range as Jones strikes. Jones lands a jab-cross combination. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Weidman on the side of the head. Jones throws a hook to the side of Weidman's head but Weidman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jones takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Jones ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Weidman moves away. Weidman throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones misses with a looping left. Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Weidman. Weidman moves out of range as Jones strikes. Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jones throws an off balance right hand
and Weidman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jones won't be happy with that. Weidman in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones is trying to control Weidman's posture but Weidman avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones seems a little lost for a moment, as Weidman dominates the positioning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Weidman trying to control the position but Jones is working away. Weidman working the ground and pound. Weidman working the head and body with strikes. Weidman throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Jones is not content to let Weidman control the position. Weidman looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Jones is avoiding damage well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weidman is putting a hurting on Jones here, landing some big shots from side control. Weidman looks up at the clock and then as Jones takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Weidman smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Weidman in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Jones is being controlled here. The strikes coming from Weidman are missing the target in this wave of attacks. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Weidman is putting a hurting on Jones here, landing some big shots from side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones parries the strikes from Weidman easily there. Weidman is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jones to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Weidman in side control lands a decent elbow. Jones is trying to buck Weidman off. Weidman throwing strikes but Jones manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Weidman struggling a bit here. Jones wants to stand but Weidman is controlling his arm. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Weidman manages to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Weidman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Weidman is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jones. Weidman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jones lands an overhand right. Jones misses the shot to the body. Weidman scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Weidman is just out of range. Weidman on the wrong end of a nice jab. Weidman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.

That's one minute gone in the round. Weidman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. Jaylen Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Weidman. Jones throws a right hand that Weidman ducks under and follows up with a left that Weidman also avoids with ease. Weidman lands a glancing blow to the side of Jones's head. Jones misses with a looping right. Weidman lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Weidman dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Jones stuffs the takedown. Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Weidman moves away. Weidman's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jones under the eye.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Weidman.
Jones scores with a nice head shot. Weidman is looking to slow Jones down with leg kicks. Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Weidman.

and Weidman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Weidman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Weidman looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Weidman trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Weidman with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weidman controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Let's hope that Weidman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Chris Weidman was stalling too much, according to the referee. Weidman lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jones's sensitive parts. Jones is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones misses with a left hand and Weidman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A swing and a miss from Jones. Jones takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.
Jones takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Jaylen Jones is winning the standup battle so far. Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Weidman can pounce on him.
Jones takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Weidman counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jones is lucky that one didn't land flush. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Weidman has a takedown stuffed. Weidman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Weidman lands in his opponent's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Weidman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Weidman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Chris Weidman! In his post fight interview, Chris Weidman started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. Jaylen Jones spoke after the fight, saying ' You know I have had a great career but this was my last fight. I appreciate you fans and enjoyed putting on a show for you. Thanks too Darius for the opportunity to fight for such a great org. Peace!'.
