Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gloos Warama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teriyaki Sukihara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Warama might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Avantasia-Scarecrow. Teriyaki Sukihara acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gloos Warama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teriyaki Sukihara! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Warama decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Warama takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Sukihara wants to sweep but Warama has passed to side control! Warama laying and praying for a moment but Sukihara takes advantage and regains half guard. Warama is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Sukihara wants to improve his position but Warama is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Warama thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Sukihara to regain full guard. Warama throwing strikes but missing. Warama controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sukihara controls Warama momentarily but Warama frees himself. Warama has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Warama preventing the sweep.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sukihara tries to clinch up but Warama circles away and keeps his distance. Warama moves into the clinch successfully.

Teriyaki Sukihara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sukihara throws a body kick that misses. Sukihara misses the shot to the body. Sukihara lands a jab to the head.
Sukihara clinches but Warama breaks the clinch and Warama counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Warama. Sukihara manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Warama manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sukihara thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Sukihara is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Sukihara works a leg free and moves into half guard. Sukihara is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Warama trying to hold on to Sukihara's head to control him but Sukihara postures up.
Warama is pressing down on Sukihara's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Warama is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Warama has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sukihara is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Warama. Warama is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gloos Warama dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Warama manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Warama gets a takedown into half guard. Sukihara taking some punishment here, with Warama in his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The fight stays on the outside here - Sukihara looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Warama shoots in for a takedown but Sukihara shows good takedown defense. Sukihara works the jab nicely. A right-left combo lands from Sukihara. Sukihara throws a right hand that Warama ducks under and follows up with a left that Warama also avoids with ease. Sukihara lands a front kick. Warama closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Warama sitting and controlling from the half guard. Warama thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Sukihara to regain full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Warama is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Warama has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sukihara is on top in guard.
Sukihara wants to pass the guard but Warama is keeping the position. Sukihara working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Warama's head. Sukihara trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sukihara thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Warama escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sukihara gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sukihara drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sukihara jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sukihara postures up.
Warama wants to hit a switch here but Sukihara passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Warama there! Warama tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Teriyaki Sukihara will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Sukihara's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Sukihara duly obliges. Sukihara throws a right and a left that Warama avoids nicely. Sukihara darts in trying to clinch so Warama counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sukihara wants to sweep but no luck. Warama trying to control the position from guard on top but Sukihara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sukihara wants to finish this one by submission but Warama is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Sukihara. Warama keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Warama tries to lock up and control but Sukihara gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Warama is trying desperately to improve position. Sukihara is working for a guillotine from mount but Warama frees his head quite easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sukihara manages to capitalize on a mistake by Warama to take his back! Warama turns into Sukihara and is now in his guard.
Sukihara is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Warama has his hands clasped together but Sukihara extends an breaks Warama's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Sukihara.
