Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Lime!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Lime ducks down to avoid it.
Lime wants to clinch but Jones slips to the side
enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Jack Lime has been cut.
Lime fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lime darts in trying to clinch
and Jones counters with a straight right hand.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lime.
Lime shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lime's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt
and Jones counters with a stiff right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lime shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Lime's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jason Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Lime.
Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Lime.
Jones seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lime.
Lime tries to clinch up
and Jones counters with a crisp right hand that drops Lime! Jones lets Lime back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lime wants to clinch but Jones slips to the side
and Jones counters with a right hand to the body.
Lime looks winded!
Jones feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lime sprawling to the canvas! Lime rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jones finish him?!
Lime is rocked!
That has opened up Jack Lime's cut even more.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Lime swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Lime face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jason Jones!
