Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zach Zapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Bonner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zapp kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Mighty Oregon. Bonner has chosen "My Time" by Fabolous as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Zach Zapp has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zach Zapp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stevie Bonner! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zapp throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Zapp misses with a few strikes there.
Bonner scores with the left hand. Zapp knows he should have avoided that one. Bonner lands a slapping body shot.
Nice sprawl there from Zapp as Bonner shoots in. Bonner cracks Zapp with a right hand to the side of the head. Bonner looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Zapp swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Zapp throws a right hand that Bonner ducks under and follows up with a left that Bonner also avoids with ease. Zapp is breathing heavily. Zapp fails to land with a series of punches.
Bonner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zapp but Zapp pushes him off and we're back to square one. Zach Zapp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stevie Bonner. Nice shot by Bonner. Zapp throws a sloppy head kick and Bonner moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bonner fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bonner scores a takedown into full mount! Bonner throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bonner sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Bonner thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Zapp really wants to buck Bonner off and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bonner controlling the position easily from mount. Bonner unloading with bombs! Bonner working away from the top, dropping strikes. Bonner is working for a guillotine from mount but Zapp frees his head quite easily.

Bonner goes for an armbar but Zapp turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Zapp. Zapp has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bonner looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Zapp passes into half guard.
Bonner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Zapp wants to stand up but Bonner is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bonner missing with punches from the bottom.
Zapp prevents Bonner from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stevie Bonner dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bonner. Zapp is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bonner asserts his dominance and retains side control. Bonner tries to move into full mount but can't pass Zapp's legs. Bonner in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Bonner is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zapp wants to get back to his feet but Bonner drags him back down. Bonner wants to control but Zapp is keeping him busy. Zapp dodges the ground and pound from Bonner. Bonner tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Zapp is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bonner shoots in for a double leg but Zapp sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Zapp circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Bonner drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Zapp follows Bonner to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zach Zapp!
